Scarey as hell. A tremendous little film, and probably one of the best horror type movies i have seen in a long while. Some criticisms of the acting by some reviewers, but i must have watched a different movie, as i thought the acting was spot on. Plenty of jump out your seat moments, twists and at times you did not know if you were watching real time or past, something that i thought was really effective. I may have even given this 5 stars but a bit disappointed with the ending…but all in a great movie..

Oculus is THE BEST paranormal film in years! This movie is an absolute gem. It has all the wonderful edge-of-your-seat terror of a paranormal movie without falling back on the same overused scenes we’re all tired of seeing in other possession films. It messes with your head completely because the entire plot revolves around the characters having their perception of reality distorted and its so realistic you start questioning your own reality! My boyfriend, who hates paranormal films, was blown away by this. MUST SEE!

Don’t Look in the- too late… Oculus is a slow-burn, old-fashioned horror film. If you like the mounting sense of dread of movies like the original version of The Haunting, or modern-day chillers such as It Follows, RING (the Japanese version), Prince of Darkness, Insidious or The Woman in Black, you’ll find something to enjoy here. The performances are great across the board, Katee Sackhoff and Rory Cochrane sell the absolute horror of a beloved family member slowly becoming something terrible. Both adult and child actors…
